I picked up a couple of things from sales this week...

I started with an order from Talbots. They are having a mad crazy clearance sale this week. Even if I have not yet convinced you to get their clothes ;-) - check out the accessory section. At any rate, this is what I grabbed. By the way, their shoe section defaults to Narrow, so be sure and check the width when looking for sizes.

I received my Feb catalog, and it has a note about 20% off, and to call C/S for details. When I called, I was told to use my customer number from the catalog as the promo code. When I did that nothing happened, so I Live Chatted C/S, and they had me submit the order, then they took the 20% off manually on the back end. Just something you can try if your catalog code did not work at checkout. So really, I got these items for 20% less than the prices I listed above.

And then Spiegel is getting rid of lots of old stock. I love the things I have ordered from them in the past. I thought they would be a hit or miss type of place (LIKE CHADWICKS OR NEWPORT NEWS) but I have really been more pleased that I expected with goodies from here.

I ordered a jacket I already own in black and a silvery/taupe color - but this time in yellow! As per Pantone, yellow will be one of the major colors of the spring, so I figured why not? I looove this jacket - fit is great.

OOTD 01.22.09

Hope everyone is well! I am watching this wonderful telethon "Hope for Haiti Now" - OMG Jennifer Hudson looks beautiful!!! Holy moly. The music tonight is wonderful!! Clooney really knows how to run a telethon.

So a couple of days ago, I got a small little box from JJill from their recent 40% off sale, and I have to say I am kicking myself for not purchasing more than I did. I love the jeans I got from there so very much. I have another pair of pants from there, and like those quite a bit as well, so I guess its not a fluke.

I will be putting them in my regular "hunting" rotation. I am not usually very excited by their catalogs - the styling of the models in the catalogs looks like they are settling down for a long day of relaxing and reading the newspaper and taking long leisurely walks on the beach, or puttering in the garden. Never quite gets my blood boiling - but I am really impressed with the couple of items I have now.

Ulla Popkin sizes 12-38 Clearance

Ulla Popkin has a good outlet clearance going on. They sell items from size 12 to size 38. For free shipping, use code 42919. The length of the items are based on size, which means they understand that a size 12 person and a size 20 person need different lengths on their tops. Sounds promising! Talbots Red Hanger Sale

These are the items I bought from the current Red Hanger Sale. There is currently an additional 40% off the sale prices, and Talbots DOES raise the prices when the special sale is over. (Unlike some stores, where markdowns are always permanent.) You can always tell if its going back up or not in-store because they mark permanently lowered prices on tags. The additional 40% off is on signage, but the tags only have first markdowns (about 25%-35%).

On to the goods:

Bi-stretch Bootcut Pant in Cool Taupe $29.99 - $32.99. Sizing is good, but not many color choices left.


Pin-tucked Merino Cardigan in Glaze - $26.39 -$29.39. More avalibility in Plus sizes on this one. A few petites, couple of misses. I have this in red and wore it recently.


Moonstone Button Cardigan in Valley Green $17.99-$20.99 - there are lots of colors and sizes on this one. I think people are turned off by the photo with the buttons hanging down. I suspect people don't want a cardi with a droopy top. I am going to try it and see what happens. For $18, I will just take it back if I don't like it.


Starburst Blouse in white - $17.99 - $20.99. If this is a good fit, I will go back for a color. I think this shirt will be a nice change from a regular white blouse. I am seeing it with jeans and a black blazer. :-)


Cable Knit Boat neck sweater in Berry Red . They have a variety of price points on sale. Berry Red, Cream and Palmino are $14.39 and $16.79. Other colors are $22.19 and $15.19.

My preciousssssss

Ok, so I wear almost no makeup to work. It bothers my eyes while I am trying to read the screen and I end up rubbing most of it off. I stopped wearing it so I would work better. So when you guys see me in my photos - I look a little (a lot) bleh. But I LOOOOVE makeup so much and I am relegated to wearing it mostly on weekends only. :-(

Above is a small "collection" of items I ordered from Korres and picked up from MAC in the last week or so.

OOTD - 01.08.10 - Not as boring as it looks.

Being the brilliant photographer genius that I am, I stood in front of the "navy" clothes section in my closet to take the close-up pic. So, being the graphic artist genius that I am, I opened the file in Paint and erased the closet (and part of my neck/shoulder area I think). ha! Who needs Photoshop?! :-p

Anyways, isn't that bow cute? I love the black and navy combo!!

Moschino Cheap and Chic Shoes

I really love Moschino (Cheap and Chic) shoes, I think all the little details are so pretty!! Right now, 6pm has 55% off but with most pairs of pumps running around $160ish, its not an unplanned purchase I can grab. Esp with the Talbot's sale. :-P

Anyway, if anyone happens to see Moschino C &S shoes for oh...70% off or so, please let me know ASAP! :-) I have them in my "Shop Style" reminders, but so far, not much luck. :-)
